If you built a school, we would be honored to hear about it.

Write to us directly. A first note need be nothing more than the name of your school and a sentence about it. Everything after moves at your pace, in confidence.

Why we are called Tessera

A token of trust, kept for good.

A tessera is a single tile in a mosaic: one small, cut, whole piece that keeps its own color and its own edge while joining a larger picture. Each school we care for stays a distinct tile, with its own name and its own community. Together they make a picture no single tile could be alone.

There is an older meaning, and it is the one that matters most. In the Roman world a tessera hospitalis was a small token, often a tile broken in two, that a host and a guest each kept as a permanent pledge of trust between their families. It was honored across generations, long after the two people who broke it were gone. That is exactly what we offer a founder handing over a school: a token of trust, kept for good.
